Meet Darius (not his real name), a Primary 2 student enrolled in Canossaville Student Care (CSC).
Darius grew up in a Mandarin-speaking household. When he first joined CSC, he found communicating in English a challenge which resulted in a lack of focus and confidence in his studies.
Thanks to the support and patience of his CSC teachers, Darius made significant improvements in his language and communication skills over the past year and a half.
Sadly, Darius’ family experienced tragedy when his mother suffered a cancer relapse. The high medical bills meant that the family faced great financial difficulty, causing them to struggle to afford Darius’ CSC fees. His family considered pulling him out of CSC to ease their financial burden but hesitated to do so as they recognised the improvement that Darius was making. Thanks to the support from many partners and donors, Canossaville was able to assist in covering Darius’ fees and help ease the burden faced by the family.
Your donations can help children like Darius and their families. It is crucial that our services are accessible to every child regardless of family background to help them achieve their potential in life. Thank you for being a never-ending gift to our children and families!
