Sandra and Francis (not their real names) are siblings who attend Canossaville Student Care (CSC). They love the time spent there and have benefitted academically. CSC provides children who may come from vulnerable or challenging family backgrounds, a safe haven to learn alongside their peers after school.
Sandra and Francis’ family faced financial difficulties, and have accumulated more than $3,000 arrears on their student care fees. Canossaville’s social workers learnt about the family’s challenges and the rocky relationship between the parents, and they recommended for the children to continue attending CSC for their overall well-being.
Canossaville arranged for the family to receive fees support and found sponsors to clear their arrears. Our social workers continue to work with the family to stabilise the parents’ relationship and assist them in overcoming their difficulties. Through a holistic approach, we hope to empower their parents and eventually create a conducive environment for their children.
