The forty days of Lent have ended and we are thankful that the period associated with fasting is over. As we reflect on this journey, doesn’t it remind us that Lent is just a part and parcel of life? During Lent, we were invited to a time of prayer, penance, and almsgiving. But beyond Lent, we are also invited to do it regularly to build our relationships with God, others and ourselves.
We live it more intensely in the small penances we do daily such as giving up food, social media, and other forms of entertainment, and spend more time in prayers to be closer to God. When we give up on self-indulgence, we give more to those in need.
We thank God for Lent.

Now as we enter Easter, we know that in the vicissitudes of life, no matter what we experience in different moments, we are not alone.
The book of Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 reminds us that “there is a time for everything”. We will overcome darkness when light appears, spring comes after winter, calm after the storm, feast comes after fast. No matter what life holds, we are reminded that the Risen Jesus will bring us from sickness to health, despair to hope and death to life.
Wishing you and your loved ones a Blessed and Joyous Easter!
The Lord is risen indeed. Alleluia!
