Canossaville Heartbeat – Vol 38
Glory to God in the highest heavens, and peace on earth to those on whom His favour rests.
– Luke 2:14
As we draw the curtain on another year, I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our friends, partners and donors for your unwavering support. It was a joy and blessing to have many of you join us at the Canossaville Charity Dinner on 19 December 2025. Your affirmation of our work warmed our hearts; we could not have achieved so much without you.
Thank you for believing in our mission for the children and their families. Your generosity, compassion and steadfast commitment are the foundation of our journey toward 85 years of living a life built on love, the Canossian ethos and charism in Singapore’s social service sector. Your gifts of time, resources and prayer echo the love of St Magdalene of Canossa and the spirit of the Sisters who have walked this path before us. These early missionaries and those who served in Canossaville responded courageously to the needs of their time – through education, pastoral care, social services, and care for the elderly, sick and dying, reminding us that love cannot remain still.
Today, we stand stronger because we are a village that embraces every child, regardless of background or ability. From our schools to our community programmes, we strive for full and true inclusion, especially for our students with hearing loss and those from less privilege background. This work is possible only because we work together, hand in hand and heart with heart.
May the Christmas season bring you peace, joy and the blessings of the Baby Jesus, the Prince of Peace. As we step into 2026, may our shared commitment continue to nurture hope, foster inclusion and raise each child to become the bright future of our society.
With heartfelt gratitude and warm wishes for a blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
