One of her most memorable moments was when a child with hearing loss joined Canossaville with little to no speech. Taking this child under her care, she often had to develop creative strategies to engage him effectively, ensuring his needs were met and he received the focused attention necessary for his development. Years later, after graduating from preschool, the child returned for a visit. Ms Rena witnessed his remarkable improvement in speech which brought her immense pride and joy, reaffirming the profound impact of her role as a preschool educator. 

Being an early childhood educator has kept Ms. Rena active, healthy, and youthful, both physically and spiritually. She believes that to thrive in this field, an educator must possess a genuine passion for working with young children; tons of patience; and the ability to embrace their differences. She underscores the importance of ongoing self-improvement and encourages fellow educators to remember that despite the challenges, the dedication and care they invest in their students’ well-being are always worthwhile.
