Service to the Community
Project ROTI (Reach Out To Inspire)
“It is love which prompts us to see to all spiritual and material needs of others.”
—St Magdalene of Canossa
St Magdalene was born in 1774 in Verona, Italy. From a very young age, she had a great compassion for the marginalised in society. Every day, she would distribute bread to the poor of the city from a side door of her family home. This door was affectionately known as the Bread Door.
Project ROTI is Canossaville’s response to the urgent need of the families in our community resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. Basic necessities were handed out to families in our care and to the elderly living in the MacPherson estate. Taking the cue from our Mother Foundress, Canossaville organised more than 10 distributions of essential food items and daily necessities to bring relief to families each year.
As a social service agency, our ability to support those in need relies heavily on the generosity of donors like you. Your contribution can take various forms, like in-kind donations, financial support, or volunteering your time and skill sets. Together we can reach out to inspire and empower our community.
“We must have one heart and one will, loving each other sincerely and without anyt distinctions.” St. Magdalene of Canossa
